Gentle Yoga Teacher Training
Friday, June 12th - Sunday, June 14th
There is such a need and call for more gentle offerings in the yoga community. A gentle yoga class meets the needs of those who have physical, mental, and emotional limitations. Yoga DiVita has always offered classes to meet the needs of the gentle students to the more seasoned yogis.
This weekend is not limited to just teaching the teachers, but for all students wanting to enrich their lives with ways to find ease within the practice.
We will cover:
• Poses for building strength, increasing flexibility, and improving balance
• Techniques to quiet the mind using guided meditation and cooling pranayama
• Chair Yoga
• Props and the wall
• Anatomy of specific conditions
• Creating sequences for a Gentle Class
We will dive into multiple yoga styles to meet the needs of a gentle student. In addition, we will speak of the energetic bodies relationship with the postures in connection with the gentle student.
This class will open up new possibilities for teachers and studios. We will discuss the business of where and how to begin offering gentle classes in your communities.
Hours:
Friday 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Saturday 3:00pm - 9:00pm
Sunday 8:00am - 12:00pm

Upon completion of this training, 200-hour Registered Yoga Alliance Teachers will receive a certificate to teach Gentle Yoga. Students must be present for all 13 hours to earn the certification. Advanced Studies students receive 13 hours toward their 500/1000 hour certification.
